Greetings all:
Just saw Jason's post about hitting the 200 day mark, which has got me pumped up. I have to say in the interest of full and fair disclosure, that my week has been a mixed bag in terms of the program. I have been having some difficulty in the evenings with urges to snack, after a day of fasting. I think some of this may be due to being so involved in my last project ( which shall remain nameless) that I still haven't gotten out of my head. I have decided that the key to turning this "slippage" around is to have some good old mindless entertainment this weekend, a little vigorous exercise and a really solid fasting day tomorrow, from sunup to sundown. Maybe I'll even get to church tomorrow for a little spiritual intervention. It's Saturday Morning and everyone else is sleeping in so the house is quiet. I made a modified breakfast: a two egg omlet with ham and cheese, two sausage patties and a whole wheat toaster waffle. I only ate about half the omlet and shared the rest with the three amigos ( My three cats, Tiger Woods, Riley and Mother K) Read the Wall Street Journal that I didn't have time to read yesterday. Now I am thinking that maybe a movie would be a good start for the weekend. I was thinking maybe the new Miami Vice Movie with Colin Ferrell and Jamie Foxx. Since it is only 9:30, it would make sense to squeeze in that workout at the gym first, since the Movies don't get cranking until 11:30 or 12:00. We have one of those 24 theatre multiplexes down the way, so I don't even bother looking at movie times anymore, as long as its after 12:00. In light of my week, I think the key to my eating day today should be moderation, a diet coke at the movie and maybe some Sushi for lunch.
I checked on Curly's blog and nothing posted since Saturday the 8th. I hope everything is going well for her and that she is staying well away from the war zone.
I hope everyone has a good weekend....

Hi George. I am really interested in your review of the Miami Vice movie. I can't leave my daughter with a sitter this week, but I have a nurse coming next week, and we thought about checking that movie out. Let me know. Laura
The Miami Vice movie was pretty good; lots of fast boats, fast cars and really bad guys and even a little romance. The only thing that I didn't care for was the start of the movie. They sort of drop you into the plot. It is sort of disconcerting; I thought at the beginning that the movie had screwed up and they had started in the middle of the second reel, but after a while the plot caught up to the action. I saw it with my son, who gives it a thumbs up as well.

Did they use the original TV theme? Any cameo appearances by Don Johnson?
Actually Jason they seemed to go out of their way to go in a different direction other than the Miami landscape. No real connections with the TV Series. At least I didn't feel abused, like I did when I watched Wild Wild West and the Avengers, two of my favorite 60's series which were abused on the big screen. I know, I know, you weren't even born. Rub it in...
