Greeting from the left coast. I am here at Dana Point/Laguna Cliffs at my conference. A beautiful hotel overlooking the ocean. I got here on Tuesday night late and grabbed a bite and hit the sack after a long trip across country. I had a meeting early at eight AM on Wednesday but it was really 11 AM Eastern time, so this worked out fine. This lasted about three hours and then I had the rest of the day to myself. I miss my wife but otherwise, I'm having a fine time. I love visiting CA, particularly Southern CA, but I don't think think I could live here. The positives are the beautiful climate, wonderful ocean views and pretty mountains. The things I find difficult are the high population density, stratospheric real estate prices, lack of open space and traffic noise.
We had a full day of meetings today, (Thursday) and then they took us to Newport Beach, which is just up the road for a dinner cruise. It was very nice and smooth and I didn't feel a bit queasy. Convention food today, sausage bisquit and fruit for breakfast, steak, salad and vegies for lunch and Cornish Game Hen with rice, salad and vegies for supper. And a couple of adult beverages, not to mention desert for both lunch and supper. I plan on largely following my fast tomorrow with perhaps a little fruit for breakfast and salad for lunch. I have been hiking around and since the hotel is at the top of a hill, I get a great workout everytime I go out. I saw Jason's weigh in on his website and I hope that he doesn't give up the program. I think that a few adjustments can be made to turn the program into a maintainence program. Think about it Jason....

Hi George..
I thought about Jason the same way.. Jason..do you think maintenance could be a fast day a week? I'm wondering that myself. Of course I probably have a year before I reach my goal, but when that happens, I could definitely see a fast day or two a week.
George..enjoy your time on the coast!
I'm thinking about maybe just not eating at work every other day, but eating in the mornings at home. I haven't fully decided yet.
Welcome back Curly. I hope you had a great cruise and enjoyed yourself in Europe. I hope to do more traveling there myself someday ( maybe after I get my son through his last year of high school and college. :)
