Happy Sunday everyone
I have had a great day overall. Got up early about 8:00 made a large breakfast ( toaster waffles, hashbrowns, sausage and eggs (no yolks) and then got my son up for church youth group. I got my wife up about an hour later. I don't know if I mentioned this previously but my wife is a night owl and doesn't like getting up in the morning. She very sweetly agreed to go to church with me at 11:00 but like she says, sometimes "nightgirl" makes promises that "daygirl" can't keep. Anyway after three attempts, I finally managed to get her up with the promise of coffee. We made it with 5 minutes to spare.
I am very excited that the church is starting a Habitat for Humanity House in September to be completed by December. I have always wanted to work on one of these and for some reason have never done so, so I am looking forward to this. We are partnering with three other churches and have to raise $25,000 to cover the cost of materials.
I was in a cooking mood today, made homemade navy bean soup for lunch and roast beef and vegies for supper. Also I had some frozen custard as a snack. I went by the gym to work that off and had a great workout, with the weights and the treadmill.
This is a short week for me. I have a conference in Laguna Beach, CA that I am flying to on Tuesday. So, I am working on Monday and working a half day on Tuesday (probably telecommuting) and coming back next Saturday. I had hoped to take my sweetie with my but it just didn't work with everyone's schedule. Last trip the program worked really well while I was traveling, so it is my goal to weigh in one week from tomorrow (Monday week ) and be at 201. In order to do this, I will need to exercise some everyday and stay away from the alcohol at least on my no eat days; in fact I think I do better just staying away from this altogether, it tends to cloud my judgement.
I hope everyone has a good week...

I can totally identify with the daytime/nighttime promises thing. :) Working late, it's always hard to get up in the morning and get the stuff done I had planned to the night before. I've been considering switching back to the day shift just so my kids don't remember me as the guy that slept all the time while they were growing up. (Right now it's mainly a transportation issue.)
