Have a very busy week after having been out of the office most of last week. Went to the Gastro-enterologist today. Having passed the 50 year mark this year, I get to have a highly intrusive procedure in a few weeks, which modesty forbids me from describing in greater detail. I have a very nice doctor and will be out during the procedure but I am still not looking forward to it.
I got three "to do" projects done today, so I feel pretty good about my day. Will keep you posted...

As intrusive as the examination probably is, it's far better than getting cancer, which I see from yesterday's post has affected both of us personally. It's a nasty disease to which I hope somebody finds a cure for soon. (Before I'm 50 would be nice!) Until then, preventive measures and early detection are the keys.

Yes Jason, I have another colleague who currently is in the hospital with terminal colon cancer (not the person that I mentioned yesterday)and this is a person who is about five years older than me who didn't take the recommended actions that are supposed to be followed when you reach 50. Five or ten years from now, they may have technology that makes this unnecessary, but for now, a person has to step up and do what needs to be done to protect their health.
